Mid morning tour of the main historical sites in the Old Town. Its picturesque flair is formed by the Town Hall of the Peace of Westphalia, the “Stadtwaage”, the St Mary’s Church, the late Romanesque St Peter’s Cathedral and the high gables of the old merchant houses. These days, the old trade routes turned into pleasant streets with attractive shops. This mixture of historic quarters and modern architecture is the hallmark of Osnabrueck. Remainder of the day is free to explore the city on your own and to visit the Christmas Market. Overnight in Osnabrueck.

Day 3: Osnabrueck – Hameln – Osnabrueck (B/-/-)

Leave for Hameln - the central city of the Weser Highland scenic region and nature park. The well-known legend of the rat catcher, the Pied Piper of Hameln became associated in the 16th century with the alleged departure and fate of the children of Hameln in 1284. Enjoy the tour with our local guide showing us the main historical sites in the Old Town; Pied Piper’s House, Backerstrasse, Minster of St. Boniface. The Christmas market has a long tradition and gets its visitors into the mood for the festive season. Hot wine and brandy punch are served against the cold. Other stalls complete the typical Christmas market program by selling Christmas crafts and products. Overnight in Osnabrueck.

Day 4: Osnabrueck – Celle – Osnabrueck (B/-/-)

After breakfast we are heading to Celle. Celle is one of the most significant historical ducal residences in Lower Saxony. Our local guide will show us the impressive old town with almost 500 half-timbered houses which are under preservation order, form Europe's largest building ensemble of this kind. The parish church has the ducal burial vaults, and in the ducal palace is the oldest theatre in Germany still in use. Our tour also includes a visit of the Herzogschloss which oldest parts date back to the second half of the 13th century. The Old Town of Celle and the whole city turn into a Christmas fairy tale again. Not only the famous Christmas Market in the old town creates a wintery atmosphere, but also the castle front yard with the Celler Winter Magic lays under the sign of mulled wine and fir sprigs. Overnight in Osnabrueck.

Day 5: Osnabrueck – Muenster – Osnabrueck (B/-/-)

This morning we leave for Munster, one of Germany's most appealing smaller cities, with a 1,200-year history, a town center that blends the medieval with modern. Münster is only one of 17 cities that have been admitted to Historic Highlights of Germany, a consortium of cities chosen for their "special charm, architectural brilliance and historic character." Our guided city tour includes The Dom, the astronomical clock - a mechanical device from the late Middle Ages, the Cathedral, The old Rathaus, or city hall, with its Friedensaal where the Westphalian Peace was signed in 1648 to end the 30 Years War. Muenster's Christmas Market becomes more festive and more fairytale like every year. Set against the charming backdrop of the illuminated old quarter, its five Christmas Markets are all within a stone's throw away from each other. Vischering Castle (German: Burg Vischering) in Lüdinghausen, North Rhine-Westphalia is the most typical moated castle in the Münster region of Germany. Overnight in Osnabrueck.

Day 6: Osnabrueck – Bremen – Osnabrueck (B/-/-)

This morning we are driving to the Free Hanseatic City-State of Bremen. Tour with our local guide the main historical sites in the Old Town. Its unique ensemble of historical buildings consists of the town hall, the merchants' houses that date back to the Weser Renaissance era and the statue of Roland, symbol of the city's freedom and now, together with the Town Hall, a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic setting, lovingly decorated stalls and stands, and romantic Christmas lights create a very special atmosphere. At the end of this day we will visit the world famous Beck’s brewery.
