Morning departure for Cap Corse, a narrow peninsula with little bays, golden beaches and precipitous cliffs. Experience Nonza with its stone-roofed houses, perched on a steep rock, Pino, a village constructed like a balcony above the sea and the St. Lucie pass. Here you can enjoy superb views of the Gulf of Aliso, the port of Santa Severa and Erbalunga. Also Miomo, with its Genovese tower clinging to schist cliffs above a pebble beach, Pietranera and Bastia. This Genovese city is characterised by its Mediterranean charm. Visit the city by mini-train: the alleys lined with high houses, the coloured facades, the Place de l’Hotel de Ville, St. Nicolas square, the market square and the old port. Depart for Patrimonio to enjoy a tasting of Corsican wines. Continue to St. Florent through the Desert of Agriates. Lunch during the excursion. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Calvi/Île Rousse area.
Depart for the Marsulinu Pass, the Valley of Fango and the La Croix Pass. Arrive in the Gulf of Porto, featured in the UNESCO World Heritage listings, a marvellous site of red granite cliffs above an intense blue sea. Enjoy a cruise from Porto to the Calanques of Piana (1h30) situated in the south of the Scandola nature reserve. Lunch in Porto. Continue on to the Gorges of Spelunca. Visit Evisa, a village surrounded by chestnut woods. Continue en route to Vico and Sagone before reaching Ajaccio. Dinner and overnight in Ajaccio.
Depart for a guided tour of Ajaccio - postitioned in the heart of one of the world’s most beautiful bays, with a mountainous backdrop and facing the Sanguinaires Islands. Lunch. In the afternoon, continue towards the inland areas of the island and encounter the Mediterranean fauna and flora of Cauro, Bastelica, the Tolla Dam and Bastelicaccia. Dinner and overnight in Ajaccio.
Depart for Cauro and the villages of Petreto and Olmeto, then Propriano, in the heart of the Gulf of Valinco. Continue on to Sartene, the “most Corsican of the Corsican towns”, according to the writer Prosper Merimee and perched like an amphitheatre above the Rizzanese Valley. Proceed to the region of Alta Rocca, the villages of Aullene, Quenza and Zonza and the Bavella Pass, with its majestic rocky needles. Lunch. Continue via the Larone Pass and Solenzara. Dinner and overnight in Porto Vecchio.
Depart for Bonifacio. The upper town, perched on a steep promontory, dominates the Mediterranean. Board a boat trip to discover the marine caves and the impressive cliffs. Return ashore. Visit Bonifacio by mini-train. Lunch during the excursion. Dinner and overnight in Porto Vecchio.
Depart for Solenzara, along the pearl coast. Continue to Aleria across a landscape lined with pine woods. Arrive for lunch in Corte, in the heart of a Corsican regional natural park. Tour Corte by mini-train. Leisure time. Continue to the Niolu, a land of mountain people and shepherds, then on to Calacuccia – from the dam, enjoy the view over the lake, the magnificent peaks of the Niolu and the dramatic gorges of Scala di Santa Regina. Continue on to the region of Bastia / Calvi. Dinner with Corsican songs and guitars. Overnight in Porto Vecchio.
