Careers

Work at Travel Europe

For more than 30 years, we have been working as a successful tour operator and we have managed to develop from a little family business to a Europe-wide company. Due to our dinamic growth, 13 further branch offices in different countries have been established within the last years. Thus today we are an international employer and we are pleased to offer interesting tasks and opportunities for development in various areas.

As a result of the company´s growing size but also because we know that the working place makes an important contribution to job satisfaction, we have newly built our headquarters in 2005. The new building, awarded with several architecture prizes, combines modern design with all kind of requirements on a well-equipped working place. There are sufficient parking spaces available in the building´s own garage and the offices are flooded with light, well-equipped and technically at the leading edge.

Solid and long-term relationships with our staff members are very important for us. It is therefore our great concern to offer a pleasant and healthy working atmosphere and a safe working place. Furthermore, we provide a number of

  • free lunch in our Gasthof Marschall in Stans
  • a weekly Spa-day for our employees in the Hoel Schwarzbrunn****sup in Stans
  • life and endowment insurance
  • future pension
  • loyalty bonus
  • bonuses for events, holiday booking, fitness
  • and many others

Foreign languages are an essential feature to meet the challenges of daily work in our company.
French: Most of our key accounts are from Frenchspeaking countries. That´s why the mastery of French is an important basic skill for our employees.
Of course, English as international language also plays an important role in our company, not least to communicate with our partners and clients.
Spanish is gaining more and more importance – also for us – as the Spanish market holds great potential.

Enrollment

We believe that a basic enrollment provides security and facilitates the start into daily professional life. For this reason the enrollment consists of two parts:
1st phase: Introduction and basic enrollment
In all teams, we offer an enrollment to new staff members which shall ensure to get into the new duties step by step. It includes an introduction to internal company processes and to our software as well as the simulation of business transactions.
2nd phase: Training on the job
The fisrt phase is followed by the work in the team. Now the new employee can get to know and learn all intricacies and challenges of the respective working field – supported by the team leader.

School meets practice

As a part of the project “School meets practice”, students from the 11th grade are offered the opportunity to get to know our company within the framework of the French lessons. The course of this half-day is planable in commun. Generally, we start with a presentation of our company in French, followed by a guided visit of the Hotel Schwarzbrunn****sup as well as of the company headquarters of Travel Europe. Moreover, we offer a workshop for customer service/correspondence.
We benefit from the raising of our profile with potential employees or trainees. Schools profit from practical instruction, the presentation of a tourist business as well as a group work in French.

Practical training
